Bahrain Electromechanical Services Company (BEMCO) was established in 1990 and is a joint venture between a Buhindi Group company and local investors. It is a leading contractor with various Government Ministries including the Ministry of Housing and has an association with the most prestigious projects carried out in Bahrain since its inception.

BEMCO has been continuously associated with the Bahrain International Airport since 1994. It has undertaken all required MEP work at the airport including complete maintenance and facilities management and associated procurement from 1994 until Hochtief was awarded the full maintenance contract in 2007. Since then BEMCO has worked closely with Hochtief and has supplied all skilled labour required by Hochtief under a back to back sub-contract arrangement. Now MEP responsibility has been assumed by Bahrain Airport Company and similarly BEMCO is providing all required skilled manpower.
